What we build and look after for you

We handle the tech, from the server to the last button. On the first call, we work out which parts your project needs.

  1. Frontend built to your design

We build every screen exactly as it looks in the design, from a phone to a large monitor.

  2. Backend, database, and integrations

We plan the database, connect your CRM or newsletter tool, and secure who can access what.

  3. Online stores

We build stores where your customers find the product fast and go straight to checkout.

  4. Fast load times and SEO basics

We keep code and images lean. A clear structure and correct metadata help Google understand your pages.

  5. Training and documentation

Your team learns to change content on its own. We document the structure and integrations, for other developers too.

  6. Support and maintenance

After launch, we fix bugs, install updates, and build new pages, as needed or on an ongoing basis.

How website development works at Rekos

A complete website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. Large stores and many integrations can take longer. You see work in progress early.

  1. At the start

    Set up the development environment

We set up the tools and version control. Every change stays traceable and can be rolled back.

Your part: Access to your domain and current hosting

  2. After planning

    Build the backend

We build the database, logic, and integrations. Access rights and security come built in.

Your part: A list of the tools we should connect

  3. After design

    Build the frontend

We build the design for every screen size, with filters and forms in JavaScript.

Your part: Final copy and images

  4. Before launch

    Test and speed up

We test by hand and fix every bug. Then we slim down the code and images.

Your part: Your own round of testing, with feedback collected in one list

  5. At launch

    Documentation and training

We document the code and integrations. Your team learns how to update the site in a training session.

Your part: Whoever will update the website joins the training

How much does website development cost at Rekos?

BOOK A FIRST CALL

Projects start at CHF 1,000. The price depends on what the website needs to do. A small company website is quicker to build than a store. On the first call, we go over the sitemap, goal, features, and style, and then you get a quote. If you don’t have a design yet, we create one with you. A free design concept shows you up front how we design. If you might add a store or a second language later, we plan for it now.

What sets the price

Number and type of pages
Each page template with its own layout adds work. The number of pages matters much less.
Features and integrations
Filters, booking calendars, customer accounts, or a CRM connection each need their own development and testing.
Online store
Products, variants, payment methods, and shipping make a store more work than a company website.
Whether you have a design
With a finished design, we start right away. Otherwise, we add a design phase.

What a new website costs in total

Who Rekos is a good fit for, and who not

Rekos is a good fit if

  • You want your design built exactly as drawn, whether it is finished or we create it with you
  • Your team should be able to change copy, images, and pages on its own after launch
  • Your store needs to work as well on a phone as on a computer

Rekos is a weaker fit if

  • You are looking for someone who comes to your office regularly
  • Your budget is under CHF 1,000, in which case a website builder is a better fit
  • The website has to be live within a few days

What Swiss websites need on the technical side

We work from Vilnius for clients in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. On Swiss projects, we sort out data protection and languages first.

Data protection under the nFADP, built into the code

The revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) requires “privacy by design” and “privacy by default” (Art. 7 FADP). According to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), data protection belongs in the planning stage.

Our forms only ask for what you need. On request, we set up analytics and marketing tools so they only run after consent. According to the FDPIC, and unlike under the GDPR, the privacy policy must also name the destination country when data goes abroad. This is not legal advice.

Setting up multilingual websites the right way

If you have customers in French-speaking Switzerland or in Ticino, you will need a second language version sooner or later. According to the Federal Statistical Office, 22.6 percent of the population name French as their main language and 7.8 percent Italian.

We plan for several languages from the start, even if the second one goes live later. Each version gets its own URLs, and the language switcher is already in place. Adding this afterward costs more. On the first call, we agree on who does the translation.

Working together without an office in Switzerland

Our team is based in Vilnius. We don’t have an office in Switzerland, and we don’t pretend to. We work over video calls and shared files.

That is how we built the website and logo for “Journal to mySelf” from Wil, St. Gallen, starting in February 2023. Other remote projects include a redesign for an IT company in Magdeburg (2023) and visual design for a research project in Vienna (2022). You can read the reviews on Clutch.

LET'S TALK

How much does it cost to have a finished design built?

Development-only projects also start at CHF 1,000. We build designs made by your team or by another agency. After the first call, we give you the exact price in a quote written for your project. It depends on the number of page templates and the features.

How much does an online store cost?

An online store also starts at CHF 1,000. The final price depends on your product range, variants, payment methods, and integrations, for example with inventory management or accounting. Online stores make up a large share of our projects.

How long does it take to develop a website?

A complete website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. Large stores can take longer. It goes faster when copy and images are ready early and your feedback comes within a few days.

Can I check your work before I hire you?

Yes, with a free design concept for your project. It shows you how we work and what quality you can expect. We agree on its scope on the first call.

Do we need coding skills to change content?

No. Your team edits copy, images, and new pages in the content management system. That includes custom-coded sections. We finish with a training session.

Do you offer maintenance and support after launch?

Yes. After launch, we fix bugs, install updates, and build new pages as your business grows. You can hire us as needed or have us look after the website on an ongoing basis.
