What is included in a web design project?

Design and development are handled by the same team, and every project is led by senior people. On your side, one person is enough for feedback and approvals.

  1. Research and workshop

In a workshop over video call, we pin down your goals and audience and look at how your competitors present themselves.

  2. Custom design, not a template

We design every page from scratch for your brand. You comment on the drafts in short feedback rounds.

  3. For mobile and desktop

On their phones, your customers get a version that is easy to read, not a shrunken desktop page.

  4. Built by our own team

Our developers turn the design into code. They keep load times short and lay the technical SEO groundwork.

  5. Training at handover

We show your team how to edit text, images and pages. After that, you manage everything yourself.

  6. Support after launch

We take care of updates, bug fixes and new pages whenever you need a hand.

How a web design project works

We plan 4 to 6 weeks for a complete website. Each phase ends with an interim result for you to comment on. Meetings happen over video call.

  1. Project start

    Research and goals

We write down what the new website needs to do and what can be dropped.

Your part: Fill in the questionnaire, join the workshop, share your materials

  2. After the research

    Structure and wireframes

We decide which pages the site will have. Wireframes show where each piece of content goes.

Your part: Review the structure, gather text and images

  3. After the wireframes

    Design

We design the most important pages first. Once the style is right, the rest follow.

Your part: Comment on and approve the drafts

  4. After the design

    Development and testing

Now we build the site. Before you sign off, we test the forms and load time on several devices.

Your part: Send the final content, review the test version

  5. Project end

    Launch and training

The website goes live, then we train your team. We also answer questions that come up later.

Your part: Give the final approval, attend the training

How much does web design at Rekos cost?

Price

from CHF 1,000

BOOK A FIRST CALL

Projects start at CHF 1,000. The price depends on what the website needs to do. A company website that explains what you offer and collects inquiries takes less work than a site like Bajorų alėjos, with an apartment filter, an interactive map and a booking calendar.

On the first call, we go through your goals, pages, features and style. From that, we put together your personal quote. The up-front design concept is free.

What sets the price

Number of page types
We design pages that share a layout only once. Ten different layouts mean more work.
Features
A booking calendar, an online store or connections to your systems take more time.
Logo and brand identity
If you have no logo, colors or fonts yet, we develop the branding in the same project.
Number of languages
Every extra language needs its own copy. The layout has to make room for longer French words.

What a new website costs in total

Who Rekos is a good fit for, and who not

Rekos is a good fit if

  • You want a custom design and have no in-house web team.
  • Your website should bring in inquiries, and you want to update the content yourself.
  • You like working over video call and commenting on drafts in design files.

Rekos is a weaker fit if

  • You need meetings in person. We work online from Vilnius.
  • You need the website right away. We plan for 4 to 6 weeks.
  • You only want a template adjusted. We start with a custom design.

What Swiss businesses should settle before the design starts

Rekos is based in Vilnius, and we have no office in Switzerland. We work with Swiss clients online. Before the first draft, settle these three questions.

  • 1 September 2023The revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) came into forceSource: KMU-Portal des Bundes
  • 22.6%of the population named French as their main language in 2024Source: BFS
  • 12%of the population have no national language as their main languageSource: BFS
  • 63%of the population use more than one language every weekSource: BFS

Data protection under the nFADP

If your website collects personal data, for example through a contact form or an analytics tool, you have to inform visitors beforehand. The revised Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since 1 September 2023, requires this. According to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), this includes your contact details, the purpose and any recipients. Unlike under the EU GDPR, you also have to name the countries the data is sent to.

Before the design starts, find out where the data from your forms and services ends up. This is not legal advice.

Multilingual websites

Decide on your languages before the design. According to the Federal Statistical Office, 61.1% of the population name German as their main language, 22.6% French and 7.8% Italian (2024, more than one answer possible).

A trades business in German-speaking Switzerland can often get by with German alone. If you also sell in French-speaking Switzerland or Ticino, you need French or Italian. Menus need enough room in every language, and each version gets its own URLs for search engines.

Working together remotely

We do not offer meetings in person. The first call, workshop and presentation happen over video call, and you comment on drafts in the design file. Vilnius is one hour ahead of Switzerland.

Starting in February 2023, we created the website, design and logo for “Journal to mySelf” by Trae Astrit Musollaj from Wil SG. We have also worked for an IT services company in Magdeburg and a research project in Vienna. All three have reviewed us on Clutch.

Frequently asked questions about web design at Rekos

LET'S TALK

How much should I budget for a new website?

Projects start at CHF 1,000. We give you the exact amount in a personal quote after the first call. A simple company website sits closer to the starting price than a site with a booking calendar.

How long until my new website is live?

For a complete website, we plan on 4 to 6 weeks. It goes fastest when text and images are ready early and your feedback comes within a few days.

What is the free design concept?

A first design draft for your website, free of charge and before you commit. Work for other companies can only hint at how your website would look. A draft made for your business shows you.

After launch, do I need the agency for every change?

No. You update text, images and new pages yourself, and we train your team at handover. For new features or bugs, you can use our support after launch.

Agency or freelance web designer: which is right for my business?

For a small website, a freelance web designer can be enough. An agency pays off when design, technology and brand have to fit together and the project should not depend on one person.

Can a web agency from Lithuania build a website for Swiss clients?

Yes. Workshops, presentations and feedback happen over video call and in shared design files. On your side, you need one contact person who pulls the feedback together. Reviews from clients in Wil SG, Magdeburg and Vienna are on Clutch.
